Tarassac Bridge

Tarassac is a typical French hamlet, nestling in the foothills of the Languedoc, deep in the South of France.

The area is quite idyllic, being both in the National Park Parc Naturel du Haut Languedoc, and also within easy reach of the Mediterranean coast.

Gorges D'Heric

There are a variety of interesting villages and small towns in the area with lots of markets and fetes.

2 kilometers from Tarassac is Mons-la-Trivalle which has a bar, baker, butcher, tabac, grocer, Post office, wine cave and several restaurants plus the beautiful Gorges d'Hèric. A few kilometers further west brings you to Olargues - officially one of France's 50 most beautiful villages.

The village of Olargues

Travelling east from Tarassac you are soon in the "Pays de Source" area which includes the spa town of Lalamou-les-Bains and Herepian. Further along the road is Bederieux - a bustling market town.

South of Tarassac winds the beautiful Orb valley towards the historic village of Roquebrun - "Little Nice" with its fabled micro-climate and exotic gardens
